Application Process
- For each student, submit by May 2, 2011:
a) AFS/InSight Application Form (See link below)
b) $10 application fee
c) OutLook form (Optional. See explanation below.)
- You will be notified by mail of acceptance, denial or waiting list by May 12, 2011. Acceptance packets will include workshop information, permission/release forms to sign, an observer registration form, and a bill for tuition.
- Return the signed forms, tuition check and observer registrations by May 31, 2011.
- All registered participants must commit to attend AFS/InSight for the entire four days of the workshop. If you have conflicting obligations on any of the workshop days, please plan to attend AFS/InSight another year.

Tuition
- Tuition for "At First Sight" is $325.
- Tuition for "InSight" is $225
- Tuition includes all workshop expenses, including the cost of the Ice-Breaker Picnic. Student housing and all other meals are the responsibility of each family.

Observers
- An observer is a non-participating family member attending with an AFS/InSight student.
- Registered observers wearing a name tag are welcome at all workshop events, including classes, chamber group sessions, and the Ice Breaker Picnic.
- No guests other than registered observers will be admitted to any AFS/InSight events, except the Coach/Staff Concert and the Final Participant Concert, both of which are open to the public.
- All students age 10 and under must have a responsible adult observer available to them at all times during the workshop.
- For AFS students staying in university housing, all students age 16 and under must have a responsible adult chaperon with them whenever they are in the residence hall. Students will not be supervised in the residence hall by AFS staff.
- Observer fee is $25 for adults or children age seven and above. Children age six and under are free.

OutLook Tuition Credit
- Any AFS/InSight student may earn up to $25 OutLook tuition credit by performing community service in his or her community.
- This service may be of any type that benefits others who are not immediate family members. The student must receive no monetary reward for the service. Some examples could be: playing a concert at a nursing or assisted living facility; doing yard work or cleaning for an elderly person; picking up trash along a stretch of roadway, waterway, or hiking trail; helping with church sponsored activities such as mission trips, food collection, soup kitchens, or evangelistic meetings.
- To earn this OutLook credit, submit an OutLook Report Form with a written description of the activity including the number of hours involved. This document must be signed by your parent and another adult, such a pastor or teacher.
- OutLook tuition credit requests must be submitted along with the application forms, by May 2, 2011. More than one OutLook activity may be submitted.
- No OutLook tuition credit requests will be accepted after May 2, 2011.
